Babel Finance has closed its $80M Series B funding round at $2B valuation
Babel Finance, a Hong Kong-based crypto startup that provides lending and trading services to institutional investors, has raised $80M in a Series B funding round at $2B. Round investors included Jeneration Capital, Dan Tapiero's 10T Holdings, Dragonfly Capital, BAI Capital, Circle Ventures and others. With fresh capital in hand, Babel Finance plans to expand globally, especially in the UK, Latin America and North America, Yulong Liu, partner at Babel Finance, told The Block in an interview.

LayerZero Labs, developer of a protocol focused on improving the flow of assets between different blockchains, is seeking additional funding to hit a $3B valuation. FTX Ventures has committed to leading the $3B round, but it is unclear whether any other investors have agreed to participate. Previously this year LayerZero Labs announced a $135M raise at $1B.

StarkWare, an Ethereum scaling project has raised $100M in Series D funding at a valuation of $8B. Greenoaks Capital and Coatue led the round, with participation from Tiger Global.
