Chocolate Finance - regulated fund management platform in Singapore recently experienced high withdrawals due to FinFluencers retracting their support:

- It’s an MMF, not a bank or FD. They invest money for you and don’t lend it out, should have enough to cover.
- People speculating that the YouTubers sparked the fear and hence the high withdrawals - content creators are quite influential.
- PTSD as it reminds me of FTX, Celcius and Hodlnaut. Will always be sceptical of people shouting “risk free”, “guaranteed returns”, “principal protected”.

TLDR: Hyperliquid and HLP functioned as it was designed to.
HLP is not, has never been, and will never be, risk-free.
You provide liquidity, betting that the house (always) wins, on top of that, earning some platform fees.
There are times where the vault incurs losses, in this case, was like a month of gains.
There were previous times that i rmb seeing the vault with negative pnl too, in the early days but it averages up over time.
