imagine the amount of slop as if it's already not bad enough
everyone starting their faceless slop account on social media to get rich by summer
this is gonna be some tragedy of the commons

my approach would be to carve out my own niche, start curating things, and let my taste/personality differentiate me from the slop
even if the community is small and the time taken is longer, it will be more worthwhile in the long run

organic users will eventually get pushed away from social media once past a threshold of fyp slop, depleting the attention pool available (it is already happening to certain demographics like GenZ/Millenials)
then we amplify the dead internet theory whereby social media is just a bunch of faceless ai slop accounts circle jerking trying to get rich by next summer
sponsorships and revenue falls, mostly gets funneled into real personalities and niches facing an ever decreasing attention pool
at the same time, humans start looking for real experiences and we go a full circle back to pre-internet days (not entirely, but you get my point)
alternatively, sin of sloth and gluttony exacerbates in mankind and we head into a wall-E scenario or even surrogates (movie) where we choose to give up real interactions completely (i think this is more unlikely)

i'll always find human behaviour so fascinating and i believe that it'll remain a wildcard saving grace into our dystopian AI future
we are trying to peer into the future rationally, but a bulk of human decisions are irrational
(think squidgame 3 ending)
maybe the herd decides to pushback in unity eventually, who knows

human behaviour remains the wildcard and possibly saving grace in extreme times
