NFTs don't mean much other than the fact that it represents the amount of wealth you hold (like bayc/mayc etc.)

they are transferable given the right amount of money, but is that all NFTs can be?

Vitalik argues for a non-transferable alternative, one that truly represents a story behind it

Modular vs Monolithic Architecture

A full-fledged blockchain is made up of three core components: execution, settlement, and consensus & data availability.

Monolithic architecture works in a way such that a full node has to execute every single transaction, limiting scalability.

Modular architecture separates the blockchain stack into more specialized components. Modular chains specialize in one or more of these components and outsource the rest to other specialized chains to achieve higher scalability.

First Principles Thinking by Sahil Bloom

shared an article by him previously as well on the Cantillion Effect
link here: https://news.1rj.ru/str/cryptomumbles/2090

"A first principle is a basic, foundational assumption—one that cannot be deduced or broken down any further."

I personally think it's a useful tool when doing research on your protocols -> drilling down to foundational truths and questioning innovation to produce an asymmetric outcome

definitely applicable outside crypto as well

worth a read!
