the more clickbait or ridiculous the thumbnail the more unreliable 👀

“The people who are deep into crypto, and especially building things, a lot of them welcome a bear market. They welcome the bear market because when there are these long periods of prices moving up by huge amounts like it does — it does obviously make a lot of people happy — but it does also tend to invite a lot of very short-term speculative attention.”

I'm too young to know how the markets react during a war and I believe most of y'all here as well
honestly v thankful to be safe and comfortable rn
counting my blessings 🙏🏼
will proceed cautiously and keep y'all updated
one thing for sure is I'll continue to dca in for the long term
if any crypto influencer is still shilling coins then they are simply using their followers as exit liquidity during these bearish times
stay safe cm!

also, it is usually when you think all hope is lost and people stop yelling "buy the dip" that the market moves
came across this post mentioning that recently the social volume mentions of "buy the dip" has faded as people are slowly exiting the market and losing hope
horrible macro conditions currently tho
the only plus side I see so far for this year is that things are overly bearish (too exaggerated) such that slight hints of improvements or subsiding of these bearish events would possibly lead to a more than proportionate bullish sentiment
just my take of course
for now just keeping my head down and educating myself more

really agree w this
if btc can show a strong move up despite what's going on rn, it'll possibly spark a new narrative that btc can truly act as "digital gold" in uncertain times such as rn and it is NOT just speculations
if there's a time to decouple from equities I think now would be a really great time

BTC took the punch well. We avoided the abyss. Good start. Now its counterpunch time- If a whale steps up here and starts a $1bn TWAP to send us green on the day, it will be a powerful, lasting narrative shift. BTC can and should behave more like gold here…
"So it’s not a huge leap in logic to think that he sees this invasion as a win-win for him: if the US cuts Russia from SWIFT, and Russia uses cryptocurrencies to get around it, the US has less influence politically. If the US doesn’t cut them off, and doesn’t take some kind of forceful action to compensate, Putin demonstrates to the world that the US is in decline and is too weak to stop him."

Putin is attacking more than just Ukraine
As Russia invades Ukraine, it's a direct challenge to US economic power, too.

"Russia's sensitivities over NATO's possible eastward expansion were well known. "No matter how nuanced, if NATO adopts a policy which envisions expansion into Central and Eastern Europe without holding the door open to Russia, it would be universally interpreted in Moscow as directed against Russia," US diplomat James Collins wrote in a State Department cable in 1993.
But since 1990, NATO has gone through five rounds of enlargement to include former parts of the Soviet Union and several former Warsaw Pact states. "

NATO: Why Russia has a problem with its eastward expansion
After its Soviet enemy crumbled, NATO kept growing. Whether that helped ensure peace or constitutes a threat is still debated today — and plays into Russian actions towards Ukraine.
