what is validium?
validiums perform computation off-chain and post validity proofs containing the result of the transactions back to Ethereum, not the actual transaction data of the executed transactions.

Compared to sidechains:
- validiums have greater scalability as it greatly extends throughput
- greater security with validity proofs

Compared to rollups:
- validiums have greater scalability
- less security
