in the recent run up of HMX, many GMX investors have switched over citing it is the new king of perp dex (esp when HMX was doing 100m vol and soaring TVL)

during times of low volatility, traders preferred trading more alts for % moves-> flock to hmx/ other perp dexs

now when volatility is back, the king of perp dex has woken up on its main pairings

liquidity moat? -> big traders still prefer GMX’s depth

hence, during times of volatility traders flock back to GMX to execute

amazing 75% fee market share tbh

will be starting work next week as a research analyst intern once again

will be busier w school + work so postings might get lesser

but will still update whenever and hopefully share alafa

this cycle we're gonna comeback stronger than the last one 🫡

imo HMX can run this cycle given its performance rn

30d fee ranking - 7th

i've also tested out the platform out and its very user friendly, while teasing a mobile version (big if true)

i think it has the potential to grow into the bull cycle -> its a 12x to gmx's current mcap and its a pretty conservative estimate

the team is responsive and has been delivering quite well thus far

airdrops are vested similar to gmx's delayed unstaking model so no worries bout selling pressure when airdrops are released in sept '23

looking forward to see how hmx continues to perform in this "bearish" chop to the eoy

will reevaluate then

*tbh level finance is also a perp dex that i'm watching but with them primarily being on bnb chain isn't gonna do it rn

realised i spend quite a lot of time thinking and waiting for entries but since i plan to hold this position for months i think i can afford to be little less sensitive as i'll dca dips anyw
