Josh Lee, founder of Osmosis, said that KRAFTON, the developer of the game PUBG with more than 130 million users, will launch Settlus, a Cosmos-based chain designed to provide creators with a transparent settlement system. The testnet will be launched in early 2024. KRAFTON announced the creation of a blockchain game on Solana in March 2022, but has not launched any products since then. — link

CFX
been trading cleanly in a 4h range based off historical s/r
looking at volume there has been quite a few big buys while in this range
everytime a big spot buy comes in, price is suppressed within the range using perps (note funding, liq, and OI)
is it winding up for a scam pump?
sophisticated actors accumulating?
and ofc good ol' DWF is involved w CFX
i think i'll flip long on CFX
probably a low lev or spot trade
edit: wick low 0.1122 hasn't been raided to that's something to be cautious of

https://twoguysonchain.substack.com/p/the-state-of-gamefi #reads gamefi
good read overall
just some personal thoughts in addition
while i'm bullish on gamefi in the long run and believe there is a huge market for it, i personally don't think we'll head from web2 to fully web3 games immediately
there needs to be a bridge between web2 and web3 before we can move towards fully on-chain games (FOCG)
many web2 gaming communities do not care for crypto or NFTs so shoving it in their faces does not help the case for gamefi at all
(also we've talked about how majority of normies don't bother interacting or even learning about crypto rn)
i believe the path towards focg will first require games that are a mix of web2 and web3, with offchain and onchain aspects
preferably, gamers aren't required to touch the web3 aspect to fully enjoy the game and are able to explore and voluntarily partake whenever they feel ready to do so
gaming is meant to help destress from daily troubles, so games should be as smooth as possible. this means not needing troublesome approvals and transactions mid game, having to learn about blockchain, and downtime caused of the underlying network fails (just some examples)
what i'm saying is that games have to provide an OPTION for these web2 gamers
either that, or your web3 game must COMPLETELY have no signs of blockchain aka great UI/UX that do not trouble gamers with blockchain transactions (account abstractions, simplified interfaces, mass adoption standards, etc.)
honestly, we're nowhere close to that stage so i won't be considering that case as of yet. FOCG might have an earlier market filled with crypto natives, but i don't expect any more than that.
hence, FOCG is still many years away imo and my bet in the closer future will be on games that are:
> first and foremost FUN (as games should be)
> a mix of onchain and offchain
> players are not required to touch web3 in order to experience the full game
> not pay to win
> simple tokenomics, nothing complex w inflation/deflation or whatever. normies must be able to understand easily
> preferably low to no VC/private allocations
only after a couple of years of web2 gaming communities familiarizing themselves w web3 + web3 interfaces improving as a whole to provide smooth gaming UI/UX
only then we might be ready for FOCG to take off fully, tapping into the HUGE market that we always speak of. in the meantime, i'll focus on other verticals have a greater chance of mass adoption in the nearer future (socialfi, defi rwa, defi perps, etc. etc.)
