not sure how it happened because i'm very careful of the links that i click and this is the first drain that i've been a victim of

the hacker managed to approve infinite spending for the token and drained it away

Quick summary of the drain

21/11 Tuesday, 12.29pm
> hacker approved infinite spending of token
> tried increase limit again but tx failed
> drained the token to his wallet

1. I wasn't at my desk during the time of drain, hence it couldn't be that I clicked a phishing link of sorts
2. I have wallet guards installed such as Pocket Universe and Web Guard for months. No alerts at all the past few days.
3. Hacker only drained my wallet's biggest holding, rest of the assets were left untouched.

Current assumption is that my private keys have been compromised, given that I do store my hot wallet private keys on my PC. Also thankful that I was able to shift everything to my cold wallet before more damage could be done.

It seems like the hacker had access beforehand and was just waiting to execute the drain. Many other victims were drained as well during the time of hack.

It is a setback and dent in my portfolio, but its not as bad as what other phishing or FTX victims have lost.

thanks to a sub i think i've managed to somewhat figure out what happened

seems like this was the method used to drain my tokens

hacker is probably using a small/lowkey smart contract exploit in Uniswap to drain funds from multiple users

but the total funds drained isn't big enough to cause a commotion. his main wallets have drained ~80k in total, typically in sums lesser than 2k from each victim

i'll write it off as smart contract risks which is unavoidable, but will still start a fresh new seed phrase wallet despite my pkey being safe

just wanted to highlight that there is possibly is a small sc exploit w uniswap rn

but this is just my speculation because my technical knowledge isn't good enough
