According to Magic (treasuredao) co-founder
Karel Vuong revealed that treasuredao is currently building a game chain and plans to use magic for gas. It is more likely to be a chain based on arbitrum, and the possibility of a chain based on cosmos. Magic is currently one of the largest applications on arbitrum. — link

this turned out to be really good alfa
i shorted some FRIEND last night and look at the funding i got
if you observe the charts, the price isn't that volatile as it is an index on FT keys + FT is rather dead rn
imo even if price creeps up, funding > PNL
but in this case price went in my direction as well, so win-win
funding still sits at 2,176% APR rn, so will hold for a bit longer

ARK-USD is another coin with ridiculous funding rn at -2,500% APR on Hyperliquid
essentially you're getting paid to long
i already have a position in it from awhile back, so am just getting paid more funding to hold it

Paradigm on Blast:
"Paradigm think the announcement this week crossed lines in both messaging and execution. For example, we don’t agree with the decision to launch the bridge before the L2, or not to allow withdrawals for three months, since we think it sets a bad precedent for other projects. We also think much of the marketing cheapens the work of a serious team"

[Reflections]
did some reflections on my sizing last night
i've been trading crypto for almost 2 years. although i've learned plenty and have improved/adapted my trading strategies, i realised one aspect remained constant - sizing.
i've learned to remove emotions from trades by trading in a size that doesn't matter to me (varies from person to person). it's good! it worked well. i am able to trade more objectively.
here's the problem, this size isn't going to get me anywhere. while it is comfortable (because it doesn't matter), it is growing my port at an extremely slow rate. even more so now that my portfolio size has increased over the years, while my sizing remains the same. my % of port per trade is slowly decreasing! (i'll admit its not a bad problem to have)
i frequently compare the size i'm trading to the simple necessities i could get irl, like maybe a bowl of noodles or a drink. this makes me uncomfortable in increasing size, because what if i lose a week's worth of meal expenses in one trade? i believe having a stable fiat farm will help this scenario, which is something i am still lacking as a student.
importantly, it is always best to take on more risks early in the cycle while derisking as the cycle moves. it should be the eventual goal of a trader to eventually size up as well as he/she becomes more confident in trading.
so here's my conclusion:
if you're just starting out in learning how to trade, its best to trade with a size that is insignificant enough to not cloud your judgement w emotions.
after which, i believe the sweet spot for sizing is somewhere between insignificant and slightly uncomfortable. discipline and sticking to your trade setups become v important here. growth never takes place in comfort zones. as you get comfortable w the new size, slowly size up again, finding the sweet spot between the (new) insignificant and slightly uncomfortable.

"If you don't feel anything you are sizing too small, if you start considering praying you are sizing too big.
Somewhere in the middle."
time to upsize, let's see how it goes!
