Ukrainian Air Force informed about the death of a Su-27 pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Ivanov, during a combat task in the eastern direction on December 8, 2025.
That also indicates the loss of a Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-27 fighter jet.
The airframe and pilot belonged to the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade.

A closer look at a Ukrainian E-300 Skyranger ultralight aircraft converted into a long-range OWA-UAV that was downed by the Russians over eastern Ukraine.
Such planes are usually equipped with Soviet-originated FAB-250 aerial bombs and mortar rounds and employed for strikes on targets in Russia's deep rear. No ordnance is seen in the media below, though.
