Poland has recently launched its first sovereign military reconnaissance satellite system, featuring the PIAST (Polish ImAging SaTellites) constellation (optical) and the MikroSAR (radar), marking a significant leap from data consumer to independent provider, enabling real-time, all-weather surveillance for defense and state security, with full national control.

This satellite system is also supporting Ukraine in its defense against the Russian invasion.
