Zewdie is a student-led initiative based in Addis Ababa that provides free, reliable transportation for dialysis patients.

Many patients struggle to reach dialysis centers safely and on time due to distance, cost, or lack of support.

Zewdie addresses this gap by coordinating rides, managing schedules, and connecting volunteers and drivers to patients who need help.

Our mission is to ensure that dialysis patients can attend their treatments without stress, missed appointments, or financial burden, while giving student volunteers an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful healthcare service.

The project combines digital platforms, organized scheduling, and hands-on volunteer work to make patient transport safe, efficient, and dependable. Volunteers help in roles such as tech (websites and platforms), communications, fundraising, video editing, and graphic design, all contributing to the smooth operation of Zewdie.
