Leading Industry Analysts Comment on the Database Announcement at Oracle CloudWorld 2023
During CloudWorld 2023, Oracle announced its plans to add semantic search capabilities using AI vectors to Oracle Database 23c. The collection of features, called AI Vector Search, includes a new vector data type, vector indexes, and vector search SQL operators. In addition, the announcement includes the latest updates to Oracle Database services and products.

Oracle Database 23c: The Next Long Term Support Release
We are pleased to announce that the new version of the world’s most powerful database, Oracle Database 23c, is now Generally Available on OCI Oracle Base Database Service. We’ve also taken the opportunity to update the popular Oracle Database Free version, available for download here. Releases for Oracle Database On-premises, Exadata, Exadata Database Service, Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaC@C), and Autonomous Database (ADB) will follow later.

So it’s been a few weeks since we wrapped up our inaugural Oracle DatabaseWorld at CloudWorld in Vegas, and I’m still working through the long list of follow-ups from all of the customer and partner meetings I had. In addition, the product announcements we made at the event have piqued the interest of industry analysts and media, resulting in requests for briefings and article reviews – more items to add to my to-do list.

Повинуясь всеобщей тенденции и следуя духу времени, мы в Норникеле переводим расчёты нашего хранилища на уровень БД. Так мы ускоряем обработку данных и формирование отчётности, да и система работает стабильнее.
Но пока мы оптимизируем и переносим "классический" код в базу, запрашиваемые заказчиком алгоритмы усложняются, а обрабатываемых данных становится больше. Чтобы склонить чашу весов на нашу сторону в этом извечном противостоянии мы решили применить новый метод!

AT24C02M5/TR это EEPROM на 256 байт с доступом по двухпроводному проводному синхронному последовательному интерфейсу I2C.
В разработке электронных плат часто надо подписывать электронные платы каким-то серийным номером. Это нужно для идентификации платы при серийном производстве.
Внешние чипы памяти особенно важны так как прошивку могут полностью стереть. В связи с этим хранить серийный номер на микроконтроллере внутри on-chip NOR-Flash самого микроконтроллера ненадежно.
