Yesterday, 39yo Mikael (photo, left) was on his way to go swimming with his 12yo son in Skärholmen (a suburb in southern Stockholm).

As the two were on their way to the pool, they ran into a "youth gang" in a passage.

The youth gang said something to Mikael and his son. Mikael said something back... And the "youth gang" shot Mikael in his face... and he died.

The 12yo boy was on his way to go swimming with his father, but instead he had to see his father get shot in the face. The 12yo boy had to call the emergency line and his grandmother, to tell them his father had been shot...

But of course, Swedish state media doesn't want you to get the wrong idea. They're clever, you see.

The media can spot the need for damage control from miles away. So they send out an Arab journalist who speaks broken Swedish, Kovan Alshawish (photo, right), to represent the forces of good in this story...

I'm sure that was a coincidence.
