The Original Rift

The gods fueled the Forge with the energy of the Great Attractor.
At some point, the Attractor’s resources began to run out.
And when it reached its limit — the Big Bang happened.
A cataclysm that tore the fabric of the universe and caused the Original Rift.
Some worlds were far enough away to survive.
Others were swallowed by it forever.

One of the gods left the following note on a tablet:
“We used to forge worlds — but it turns out we forged the Rift.”

There’s a rumor that, sooner or later, in every deck (even a totally peaceful one), it appears — the Rift Card.
The ultimate card.
The utterly unpredictable card.

But is that just a rumor?
