If you struggle with vulnerability, read this ...

If you aren’t being honest, you’re hurting yourself

Only when you open up can you be truly happy

Here are some of the ways to let yourself become more vulnerable…
👉 Accept that you’re worthy
You are worthy of being heard. Love and appreciate yourself first, and the rest will follow.
👉 Stop yourself from resisting
When it’s time to open up, breathe, absorb it all, and don’t be afraid to feel.
👉 You can deal with the outcome
Trust me, there is freedom in being open and yourself.
Even if you are disappointed, you can work your way through it.
👉 Share your hurt with others
If you open up and get hurt, find someone you trust. Becoming vulnerable is a process, you need people in your corner.
👉 Don’t let others have the power
If you don’t open up, others have power over you. If you really want to protect yourself, become vulnerable.
👉 Realize that you can only go up
If you have been putting up walls, you are holding yourself back.

A Friendly Note for the Inner-self

Dear me,

Never underestimate the power of the small decisions you make each moment and everyday. What might have been assumed a small and insignificant thing could sometime be the tip of the iceberg, concealing a great deal under it but showing you only the little glimpse. And what seemed a common reaction to an ordinary situation might totally change your life for good.

Be bold as you make decision. Be wise enough to understand the outcomes of your decision. And most importantly never ever back down from making the right decision for fear of the unknown or for the fear of what others might say. And always put this in mind, don't make same mistakes as your yesterdays. But if you ever do so, make better mistakes that will teach you to be better.

May you have a blessed Monday and and a joyful New Week. May it be a week filled wise decisions set to tip of big changes in your life.

Don’t bet on the person who shows occasional bursts of greatness.

Bet on the person who delivers every single day.

Results and relationships depend on consistency, not inconsistency.

It’s better to be consistently good than occasionally great.

👉 Valuable Lessons from the Power of Now : -
#1 Life is Always Just Present Moments

Instead of a story with a past, present, and future, this book suggests that all life ever is and will ever be is present moments one after another.

So make the most of the present-day rather than stressing about the past or future.

#2 Pain is Resisting Things you Can’t Change

The only pain we experience comes from resisting the things we can’t change. We feel regret or fear about circumstances or experiences in our lives that we can’t change. This pain is unnecessary, and we should stop worrying.

#3 Free Yourself by Observation

The best way to get rid of the pain of anxiety & stress about the past or future is to observe your thoughts without judging them.

Simply being aware of what your mind is focusing on without constantly berating yourself for wasting time.

#4 Full Attention to the Now

No matter where you are and what you’re doing, always strive to provide your full attention to the present moment. This requires accepting whatever is happening, as you can’t resist what is happening to you at the same time as fully experiencing it.

#5 Avoid Complaining

Complaining is an essentially negative behavior that does no good to anyone. It’s also a huge roadblock when it comes to accepting the present moment. You should instead seek to adapt to your circumstances rather than lamenting the bad things in your life.

#6 The Past can Ruin the Future

Focusing only on the past can lead you to negative behaviors that ruins your future. You won’t experience the present to its fullest extent.

Or you make choices to protect your emotional fragility rather than choices that are to your benefit.

#7 You Are Not Your Mind

As a person, you are a being of pure consciousness, love, and joy. You aren’t your brain and all of the fear that comes with the organ within your skull.

Becoming enlightened requires that you first recognise your pure consciousness.

#8 Focus on Positive Things

As you train your mind to focus on the present, you should simultaneously practice focusing on positive things in the present day rather than ruminating on negative things. This will eventually result in a happy feedback loop.

#9 All Spiritual Teachings Are Similar

All spiritual teachings come from the same primary source, which means that there has only ever been one spiritual master that has taken different forms across the centuries. This explains religion and any other types of spirituality.

The trouble is most of us use the weekend to escape. Writer Jari Roomer got me thinking after a recent article. “Use the weekend to build the life you want instead of trying to escape the life you have,” he says.

Jari explains that for many of us, the weekend not only stops us from progressing our goals. But the weekend can make us go backwards, so we start Monday being further behind than we were the previous Friday.
Habits move us forward. Escape activities move us backward.

Pay attention to which category you fill your weekend with. It explains why you haven’t built that one thing yet that you know can change your life.

It takes a little creativity to schedule building something on your weekends and after hours. You can keep saying “I’m too busy” and feel the regret later. Or you can be the second type of person and be determined to find a way.

We find a way to make time for things we want to build. If they’re not important, we find a way to make excuses.

None of us are dumb. We genuinely think we’ll have time to build one day. The trouble is our imagination takes over from reality. If you can’t find time this weekend then you’ll unlikely ever find time. May as well be honest.

The powerful way to build after hours

Tiny steps is how you build something that will change your life.
*********
Building something when you get time is being the guy on the right in the picture above. It’s too hard. The gap between the steps you have to take is too great. The trick is to make the gaps between steps shorter using consistency.

The way to start building is with 15-minute habits.

You don’t have time. You’re busy. I get it. But you can easily find 15 minutes a day to build something that matters. The time needed is so tiny it’s nearly impossible to screw it up.

What happens with 15-minute habits over time is they produce small amounts of progress. That progress helps you allocate more time in your schedule to build as you go.

Progress is evidence. Evidence leads to motivation. Motivation simultaneously produces prioritization.

A Note to the Inner-self

Dear me,

Say Thank you!

Say thank you for all the blessings you have in your live. But do also say thank you for the challenging and tough moments you pass through as they sharpen and bring the best out of you.

Say thank you for all the wonderful people who have walked in to your life and decided to stay. But never fail to say thank you for those who stayed a bit and walked out, with each person you learn something, either they have left an inspiration or a lesson.

Say thank you for all the great opportunities you have been granted as they bring you more success. But never forget to say thank you for the missed chances, they have all made you sharp and savvy to learn from them.

Say thank you for all the things you have made right and rejoiced life with. But do also praise the mistakes you have made as each one of them have brought lessons to you.

Say thank you for the grace of this beautiful life you are living. But do not forget to say thank you for all the things you have passed through in the past. Each of the things you have done and the roads you have taken have let you be where you are now.

Say thank you for the kind of person you are today. But never ever forget to say thank you for your past self. Because all you are now is a result of what you were.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Happiest Monday to you. May you have a blessed and productive week.
