I love the music, the history, the people, the technology, the math, and theory. I am an Associate Professor in the Electronic Production and Design department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Before Berklee, I worked in the music software industry for 17 years. Exploring new musical interfaces and the role of software in human expression is my job, has been for decades, now.
I find musical hardware interface design endlessly fascinating. I end up making lots of things. Sometimes I'm testing an idea, sometimes I'm trying to encode a musical thought in software. Some of my demos use recognizable sounds like piano, drums or guitar, to lend familiarity to a new idea. This produces lazy comments like "just learn how to play [instrument], lol", which completely misses the point.

и вот уже в который раз, я, радуясь бесплатному кофе, беру этот стакан, отпиваю кофе и понимаю ЧТО КАКОЙ ТО УЕБОК ЗАЛИЛ В ЭТОТ СТАКАН ПИТЬЕВОЙ ЙОГУРТ БЛЯТЬ
