These past few days have been a bit heavy. I’ve been feeling burned out, not really satisfied with what I’m doing, and sometimes just low mentally for no clear reason.
A friend once told me, “When I feel burned out, I just throw myself into it even more, push harder, and burn out again, that’s how I cope.” I’ve tried that too sometimes, and honestly… it’s complicated. It helps for a bit, but it doesn’t fix the feeling completely.
I’m still figuring things out, and I’ll come back soon to share the whole experience and what I’ve learned after deal with it .
Just wanted to be real for a moment. 💛

Today’s Tip
A mistake I made when I first entered tech was focusing too much on the salary. I used to search things like junior JavaScript developer salary thinking that would motivate me. But starting with a salary driven mindset is not the right approach. When you finish learning and do not get a job immediately, you lose hope quickly. And when your motivation is only money, it becomes very easy to quit. What actually works is focusing on building skills, completing projects and improving step by step. When you enjoy the process and develop real abilities the opportunities eventually come. Salary should be the result of your skill not the reason you start and if you are in tech stop comparing yourself to others who are waiting for opportunities to come to them. Instead, create opportunities for yourself by learning, building and taking initiative.
have a good night

Now let’s get into some real talk. DevFest was really cool. I talked with a lot of devs got their contacts, and more importantly, I learned so much.
As I mentioned before here, I’ve been dealing with burnout. I promised I’d share my experience once I figured things out and came back from that feeling. The truth is, I was stuck in a dilemma
growing myself into skilled developer, working one projects and participate in OSS projects, vs getting a job and stable income.
I tried to do both at the same time, but it honestly exhausted me. I didn’t know which one to choose, and that confusion slowly pushed me into depression. So I decided to focus on learning, learning smart and fast, and stop thinking too much about income for now. Still, I was worried and doubting myself a lot because you know get a job when you're student honestly is a sexy thing.
Today at DevFest, @kinfishfarms gave me advice for this exact problem, and it really hit me. I can’t explain how I felt after that conversation. I asked him, “Which one should I choose career growth or getting a job in campus life?”
He said, “You have to take a risk. Don’t worry about a 9–5 job right now. focus on truly understanding the field, build a real reputation in the community, and participate in open source. opportunities will come...”, we talked long
That advice meant a lot to me, since I was very doubtful at in my decision.
He was incredibly helpful🙏, and I’m really glad I went to DevFest.
