⚡️ Microsoft has disabled Azure services for the Israeli Ministry of Defense

Microsoft President Brad Smith told employees that the company had stopped providing a number of services to a unit of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

The decision was made after an internal review of The Guardian's publication, which claimed that Azure technologies were used to massively store data from telephone conversations of residents of Gaza and the West Bank.

Microsoft said its policy strictly prohibits the use of products for mass surveillance of civilians.
