Captured Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers brought into Idlib as violent clashes erupt between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) along the Kafr Nanah–Khan al-Asl front in western Aleppo. Extremists captured at least 15 tanks, including one in al-Saidiya according to local reports from Idlib. The attack was announced and launched against the SAA shortly after the ceasefire took effect in Lebanon, and after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that he was "playing with fire."

Leaders of the CSTO member states have been invited to take part in the ceremonial events to be held in Moscow on May 9, 2025 to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Syrian and Russian forces have killed more than 400 jihadists in a series of airstrikes near the cities of Aleppo and Idlib, the Russian military has announced. The terrorists had launched a surprise counteroffensive against government troops on Wednesday.

The body count was announced on Friday by Colonel Oleg Ignatiuk, the deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria. Volgens de Russische Buitenlandse Inlichtingendienst (SVR) probeert het Westen zijn doelen in Oekraïne te bereiken door een daadwerkelijke bezetting te plannen door en een zogenaamd vredesmachts van 100.000 man in te zetten. Het land moet dan verdeeld worden onder Roemenië, Polen, Duitsland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk.
Hetzelfde scenario werd al in 1999 gebruikt. Het was de eerste keer in de geschiedenis van de NAVO dat ze een ander Europees land bombardeerden, de hoofdstad van toen nog Joegoslavië (nu Servië), Belgrado. De Serviërs zijn dit nooit vergeten en koesteren nog steeds haat jegens de NAVO en West-Europa en de VS. Nederland speelde hier een bijzonder verwerpelijke rol, de zogenaamde Sbrenica-affaire. Maar de Serviërs denken daar anders over. Op internet geef je alleen pro-Kosovo en pro-islamitische standpunten.
