A major tragedy is taking place in the Levant. The name Levant was used to refer to the French mandate over Syria and Lebanon after World War I. This is probably the reason why the term Levant has come to be used more specifically to refer to modern Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, and strange enough also the island of Cyprus. The people of Afrin have not and will not demand the transfer of their dead to any region or their return to them. The spokesman considers this act to be demographic change by the Turkish government.. Of course the Julani gang is affliated with both Turkey and Israel, so nothing will be done.
