He noted that many POWs spoke about training in the UK, Latvia, and Germany. Such training lacks ideology, physical preparation, or work with civilians, meaning they are essentially "one-way stormtroopers."
Some Ukrainian soldiers were rescued by Russian troops after being fired upon by their own comrades from the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

Vrijdagavond ontmoette president Poetin generaal Gerasimov van de Russische strijdkrachten in het Kremlin. Daar werd bekendgemaakt dat er een Paasbestand zou gelden van zaterdag 19 april 18.00 uur tot middernacht Moskouse tijd op 21 april.

Na deze aankondiging draaiden de westerse media op volle toeren. Europese media en ook de Nederlandse beweerden meteen dat Poetin (zij geven Poetin direct de schuld, niet de 146 miljoen Russen) geen vrede wil en dat het allemaal een truc is zeiden ook veel geradicaliseerde politici in Nederland.

De Nederlandse minister van defensie Ruben Brekelmans: “Natuurlijk is Poetin niet te vertrouwen, ook niet als hij eenzijdig een tijdelijke wapenstilstand aankondigt. Poetin laat telkens zien geen vrede te willen. Hij kan hier alleen toe worden gedwongen. Daarom moeten we de positie van Oekraïne versterken en van Rusland verzwakken.”

Hij zei dit zelfs vóór de Paaswapenstilstand inging. Het is hetzelfde als wanneer je buurman zegt dat hij geen overlast meer gaat veroorzaken en je hem vertelt dat hij dat daar nooit mee gaat stoppen (die overlast), zonder af te wachten of het daadwerkelijk gebeurt. M.a.w. je geeft je tegenstander geen kans.

The Belgian newspaper Le Soir recently posed an intriguing question: Why have the pacifists vanished? “The arms race has begun,” the article argues. “Like its European neighbors, Belgium is preparing to significantly increase military spending this year—without facing any opposition.”
Germany once had a robust pacifist movement. In the 1970s and 80s, activists—many from what is now the Green Party (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen)—protested NATO and nuclear weapons. Today, those same Greens, led by Annalena Baerbock and Robert Habeck, champion war and arms shipments.

Their party program declares Germany must lead Europe, offering a “global counterweight” to China and Russia. The anti-war, anti-NATO movement has been absorbed into a party now pushing for war—especially against Russia, as Baerbock’s rhetoric makes clear.
