Het was een bijzondere dag, hier in Moskou, op 9 mei 2025. Ik was te gast in de RT-studio, die pal voor het Rode Plein was gebouwd, zodat ik de parade live kon bekijken en er verslag van kon doen. Het was indrukwekkend, dit is mijn derde parade in Moskou sinds 2022, maar deze was wel heel bijzonder. Negenentwintig leiders en afgevaardigden uit verschillende landen waren aanwezig om samen met Rusland de overwinning op nazi-Duitsland te vieren en te herdenken.
Het was ook een bijzondere dag voor de Russische bevolking. De meeste Russische families verloren een grootvader, overgrootvader en/of moeder in de oorlog die nazi-Duitsland en zijn toenmalige bondgenoten voerden tegen Rusland tijdens Operatie Barbarossa.
De grote schande is natuurlijk dat de Europese leiders, van wie de meesten hypocriet zijn en zeggen dat het nooit meer mag gebeuren, er niet bij waren. Behalve twee leiders uit Servië, President Aleksandar Vučic, en uit Slowakije President Robert Fico, die vanwege hun aanwezigheid werden bedreigd door de Europese Unie en de fascistische landen, de Baltische staten en natuurlijk Oekraïne zelf, maar dat is normaal tegenwoordig, waar het fascisme na tachtig jaar gewoon weer terug is in Europa.
Zoals ik al zei, komen de meest Russofobische en fascistische politici uit de Baltische staten. Ze haten Rusland nog steeds diep vanwege wat er is gebeurd met een deel van de bevolking dat tijdens het communistische tijdperk naar Rusland is gedeporteerd. Maar ze zijn de realiteit volledig uit het oog verloren en leven al tachtig jaar met haat en wraak jegens Rusland. Pogingen om met elkaar te praten zijn vanuit de Baltische landen nooit geprobeerd.

President Putin made a good chess move to let the Western MSM who were present last night in the Kremlin, know that Russia is prepared for direct negotiations with Ukraine. A good move, because now Zelensky's 'masters' have a problem, they want a ceasefire Monday (they demand it).
