i: Enter insert mode at the cursor position.

Esc: Exit insert mode and return to command mode.

:w: Write the current file to disk.

:q: Quit Vim.

:wq: Write the current file to disk and quit Vim.

dd: Delete the current line.

yy: Yank (copy) the current line.

p: Paste the contents of the yank buffer below the current line.

u: Undo the last change.

Ctrl-r: Redo the last change that was undone.

xdg-open
opens a file or URL in the user's preferred application

netstat VS ss Command
The ss command is considered a replacement command for the obsolete netstat. The speed and better filtering options of CLI utilities from the iproute2 software package are preferable to the net-tools software package.

The netstat man page lists ss as the superior alternative. The netstat tool is still available to use. However, ss is a better and faster option.
