Paul is on the left coast to help Matthias as he gears up for his first run at Worlds as a brown belt.

Devotion LA Mission was hand-built by Matthias and now serves as his primary training location (and a perfect spot for Paul’s tent as he enjoys the California weather).

With the gym closed for a multi-day deep cleaning, we had to dust off the mobile mats and set up some temporary digs.

Excited to announce the gis are on their way to us!

This means they’ll likely arrive here while I am at Worlds with the crew in Vegas later this week.

Matt wins 3 via sub before losing by armbar in the semifinals.

Bronze medal and qualifies for absolutes later tonight.

Day 1 in the books. One medal coming home, 4 more available on Saturday for the ULTRAS

Rest day.

Elly H. is next up tomorrow, followed by the big dog, Josh W. who will close the show tomorrow afternoon.

Vibes are impeccable after Matt set the tone with an impressive run to bronze yesterday.
