Neuroplasticity ending at 25 is bullshit cope for people for whom it really ended at 25. They decided to close off their mind, stop using their brains and let them rot away. In reality it is normal to maintain ability to absorb shit tons of information up until the ripe age of 60 and possibly onwards.
As for energy levels / pure mental perfomance , the difference between a healthy 20yo male and a healthy 50yo male is negligible, unless we count in sports . The difference that we normally see between those two groups is all caused by alcohol, caffeine, stress, sleep deprivation as well as other excesses and deficiencies of the modern world that most people just choose to suck up.
