How to ‘visit’ 25 cities of Russia without leaving Moscow

From Moscow to St. Petersburg in a minute, to Sochi in three minutes. The Tsar-layout diorama shows Russia in 1:87 scale. You can spend your entire day looking at it!

Thirty people worked on this layout for 5 years and it is still a work in progress. For now, you can see 25 cities of the European part of Russia, including Kaliningrad, Pskov, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Kazan.

They are connected by multilevel railroads and highways, where model trains, trucks and buses sweep along every minute. They’ve also depicted several funiculars in the mountains! In addition, the lighting constantly changes, creating an illusion of sunsets and sunrises.

The most interesting part of this mini-country is its inhabitants. They are also tiny and live their own lives. They meet their relatives at train stations, talk to their friends in their kitchens, build houses, gather in their offices for meetings, and cheer for their favorite team at a stadium. Among regular people, the creators of the layout hid famous movie and fairy tale heroes. We found only some of these “Easter eggs”. How about you?
