Black Lives: Trap / 2019
#USA
The Civil Rights movement was meant to give Black Americans a fair shot at the American Dream. Fifty years on, however, social problems - from crime to housing segregation and family breakdown - keep too many African Americans from flourishing. Some believe they can succeed if they try hard enough, while others are convinced the system is stacked against them. The final episode of Black Lives explores if the American system is intrinsically oppressive.

How to ‘visit’ 25 cities of Russia without leaving Moscow
From Moscow to St. Petersburg in a minute, to Sochi in three minutes. The Tsar-layout diorama shows Russia in 1:87 scale. You can spend your entire day looking at it!
Thirty people worked on this layout for 5 years and it is still a work in progress. For now, you can see 25 cities of the European part of Russia, including Kaliningrad, Pskov, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Kazan.
They are connected by multilevel railroads and highways, where model trains, trucks and buses sweep along every minute. They’ve also depicted several funiculars in the mountains! In addition, the lighting constantly changes, creating an illusion of sunsets and sunrises.
The most interesting part of this mini-country is its inhabitants. They are also tiny and live their own lives. They meet their relatives at train stations, talk to their friends in their kitchens, build houses, gather in their offices for meetings, and cheer for their favorite team at a stadium. Among regular people, the creators of the layout hid famous movie and fairy tale heroes. We found only some of these “Easter eggs”. How about you?

Seeking Recognition: Palestine / 2019
#Palestine
For more than 70 years, daily life for Palestinian Arabs has been about the struggle to take back their land, and their destiny, from Israel. Even though the 1948 United Nations plan for the partition of Palestine gave them their own state, they have never been fully independent. Israeli control dominates every aspect of daily Palestinian life.
Palestine and its population is divided into two separate areas: Gaza and the West Bank. Illegal Israeli settlements have chipped away at their territorial integrity. Many Palestinians are refugees: they live in supposedly temporary camps while awaiting the opportunity to return to the homes they fled. The episode looks at the historical events that led to the present stalemate in the region.

However, a number of people allege that the US carried out the act with the help of the UK. The new episode of Red Alert explores the UK’s involvement in sabotage acts against Russian targets and why it’s committed to providing aid to Kiev instead of solving its own problems.

Seeking Recognition: Abkhazia / 2019
#Abkhazia
Once a Soviet republic and then an autonomous province within Soviet Georgia, Abkhazia has always aspired to independence. It declared independence in 1999 and only gained recognition from Moscow in 2008 following a brief war between Georgia and another former Soviet territory, South Ossetia. Few countries have since followed Russia’s lead and recognised the tiny republic on the Black Sea shore. However, locals say getting back on their feet is now more important than international recognition. For now, Abkhazia’s survival depends on fruit exports and streams of Russian tourists.
