Ok, my short explanation for the gradual arc of the industry, leading to the more-tarded-the-better state that crypto is now.
(1) Satoshi makes a legit multi-trillion dollar discovery, appearing overnight out of nowhere. Massive.
(2) But, despite that the price of each coin, economic-rationally perhaps should be worth millions and the total cap should be billions — mankind simply does not have sufficient resources to reallocate into this new trillion dollar discovery overnight to give it the cap it deserves.
(3) So instead we get a field that’s not instantly priced at the price it rationally should be, but instead very rapidly skyrocketing in price.
(4) Problem is, this value is far too quickly skyrocketing for virtually any legit blockchain proof tech to be the best bet. Value of the field and biggest coins just skyrocketing too fast.
= So instead, we’re in a protracted multi-decade landgrab, where nothing but memes & novel tokenomics — both of which involve holding a large amount of liquidity in some other base coin (ETH, SOL, etc) and somehow multiplying its value — becomes the only type of plays that can compete.
I.e. yes, this stage becomes all about grabbing a big piece of the money.
Hopefully enough of the right type of people can grab a big piece,
Or else we’re screwed as we begin to shift into the phase where a wider range of legit building starts to become the best move again.
