FWIW, many top companies and startups have maintained this kind of flat organization, with mutual signing off by peers, as outlined in the 2002 PayPal denoscription, through out this whole time. Personally worked at several like this over the years.

Works great with smart, earnest workers, which those companies carefully filtered for, though ofc relatively few of those types in this commie-filled world.
