but most importantly, vastly underestimating how guaranteed-dead AI startups are if they don’t focus all effort into raising more, instead of trying to secure a strong moat with the puny $2.5M they’ve raised so far

AI is simply a high barrier-to-entry field, needing huge raises, below which is near certain death from a VCs perspective, and above which moats are strong

I.e. the startup MUST put all focus into doing what it takes to raise more… and this was exactly the move to raise more, emperically and according to the VCs
