Earlier today, CIA Director John Ratcliffe announced that the U.S. has suspended intelligence assistance to Ukraine.
According to a senior U.S. defense official who spoke to Reuters, the military has already scaled back Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions near Ukraine and has instructed allies not to pass along U.S.-provided intelligence to Ukraine.
This reduction is expected to impact Ukrainian military operations, both offensively and defensively, including air defense efforts protecting Kiev and other cities. A Ukrainian official has verified that all U.S. intelligence support has come to a complete halt.
