Mississippi has the best demographic-adjusted NAEP (4th & 8th grade) scores now
The "Mississippi Miracle" started in 2012 when the Republican governor/legislature introduced phonics-based instruction and began to hold back ~10% of 3rd graders per year who fail a reading test

$FED coin launched a few hours ago made this little fed simulator game
Love the idea, though no idea if the simulations are in any way accurate
Love the idea of a game like this with accurate simulations, to help further get a feel for behavior of these kinds of systems
Soon AI will be able to nearly instantly make simulations like this for most anything

NEW: Rep. Jasmine Crockett suggests the United States needs illegal immigrants because "we done picking cotton." — Must be pointed out that this does perfectly align with the left’s zero-sum world model belief = For anyone to win, others must lose, all cannot…
Common lefty straw-man:
“Right-wing believes in a zero-sum world model because they’re against immigration!”
No no no.
(1) Right believes that everything IS NOT NECCESSARILY ALWAYS zero-sum = right fully believes that some things are zero-sum or even hugely negative-sum — unlike the left that tends to believe IS NECCESSARILY ALWAYS zero-sum
(2) And indeed you can see the right’s arguments showing the full range of negative-sum, zero-sum, and positive-sum immigrants, in charts like that on the right ^^
I.e. left often makes the BS argument that if you ever believe anything is positive-sum, then you must never believe that anything is zero-sum or negative-sum — which is complete nonsense
Oh yes, Elon made this nonsensical argument a few months back too.
+ Left belief: For one to gain, another ALWAYS must lose
+ Right belief: If one gains, SOMETIMES others may all gain as well, or just some could gain and others lose, or everyone could lose, depending on the situation
— Won’t screenshot a ton of sources here, but clearly
