🇨🇴 Colombian presidential candidate Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay was shot in the head during a campaign rally in Bogotá on Saturday.

Police say two shooters, including a 15-year-old boy, opened fire as he spoke to about 250 residents in the Fontibón neighborhood. Two people have been arrested.

The presidential hopeful is currently in a serious condition in hospital.

🇺🇸 Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth says if the violence continues in LA, he will mobilize Marines from Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

“The Deptof Defense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles. And, if violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert.”
