🚨🇺🇸 USAID CLOSES AS STUDY PROJECTS 14 MILLION DEATHS FROM FUNDING CUTS
The U.S. Agency for International Development officially ceased operations July 1st, with foreign assistance programs transferring to State Department control.
Secretary Rubio :
"As of July 1st, USAID will officially cease to implement foreign assistance. Foreign assistance programs that align with administration policies will be administered by the State Department"
A Lancet study published Monday estimates USAID funding cuts could result in 14 million additional deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million children under 5.
Study authors stated the effects "would be similar in scale to a global pandemic or a major armed conflict."
A State Department official said the study was based on "incorrect assumptions" and that life-saving work would continue.
