In the coming days, Russia is preparing to test the Burevestnik intercontinental missile with a nuclear reactor

The tests are to take place on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, according to The Barents Observer. Since the late 1950s, this archipelago has been used for nuclear weapons testing.

There is little official information about the tests, but a number of factors indicate that preparations are complete. The military has closed the airspace 500 km along the western coast of the archipelago from August 7 to 12.
