BREAKING: Teen Opens Fire in Times Square After Clash With Group, Three Injured Including Bystander
Three people were injured early Saturday morning when a 17-year-old gunman opened fire in Times Square, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of West 44th Street and 7th Avenue, following what authorities described as a verbal dispute between two individuals. An 18-year-old woman was grazed in the neck, while a 19-year-old man and a 65-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to the legs.
All three victims were transported by EMS to Bellevue Hospital and are listed in stable condition.
Police said the 17-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene, and a firearm was recovered. His identity has not been released due to his age, and charges had not yet been filed as of Saturday morning.
