The gap between those saying jobs are plentiful and hard to get fell to 9.7% in August, the lowest since early 2017, excluding the pandemic.
20% of consumers now say jobs are “hard to get,” up from 14.5% in January.
Labor market pessimism has been rising for more than 3 years now.
