China has introduced the world's first "universal" 6G chip capable of providing high-speed internet across all frequencies, potentially increasing speeds by 5,000 times compared to the current level of internet in rural areas of the USA.

It is stated that with such a chip, the transmission of a 50-gigabyte 8K resolution movie can be done "in a matter of seconds."
"There is an urgent need to address the challenges of 6G development," said Professor Wang Xingjun from Peking University, adding that due to the increased demand for devices with 6G chips, next-generation networks must leverage the advantages of various frequency bands.
However, as the publication notes, expanding wireless access may also lead to electromagnetic spectrum congestion, reducing connection reliability.
