Japan’s 30Y government bond has seen a negative return of -14.9% YTD, the worst among major world bond markets.
This was followed by German and French 30Y bonds return of -11.8% and -9.3%, respectively.
Canada, the UK, and China have seen their 30Y bonds decline -7.4%, -3.3%, and -2.6%.
On the other hand, the 30Y Treasuries have gained +1.0% so far this year.
