Citizens and companies of certain countries including China and Russia are barred from purchasing land of any kind, including residential property, under Texas’ new foreign land ban, known as Senate Bill 17. The ban does not apply to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, but does include those in the country on student or work visas.
