So buried in this 300 page indictment, it says a girl, not the 2 guys, was the cornerstone of all the initial recruiting.

Every time.

This thing is hilarious.

False.

Capitalism is not voting.

Voting is where everyone's money is forced to invest in red apples, because the majority voted it so.

Capitalism is where Bob can still invest in green apples, even if he's the only 1 in the world who wants to, and everyone else wants red.

Consensus is communism.

Soon it will become clear how this applies to AI.

Commoditize your Complement: The evil reason why big tech pays guys like Yann LeCunn millions to promote open source AI

Is it for common social good?

No, the true primary goal is to destroy their competition, strengthen their respective monopolies, and make more money - as counterintuitive as it may sound.

It's the exact same strategy that IBM, Microsoft, and many other big tech monopolists successfully used in the past: commoditizing their complements.

Open source AI destroys what would otherwise be their top upcoming competitors, enables them to capture all of the the value being created, instead of having to share it with anyone else, and greatly strengthens their moat.

How does that work?

Open source drives competitive advantage of having the best AI to zero, since everyone has access to the same AI for free, so then, the only thing in the stack that still is able to capture much value is what they have, a captive consumer base.

Open source AI prevents what otherwise would be the biggest threat to their products - those developing the greatest new AI models, from being able to make big money and become a serious threat to them.

Same general strategy as IBM and Microsoft used to destroy their competition: commoditizing your complement.
