Certain people, the libs, the democracy lovers, have an overwhelming urge to believe in an honest majority.

They believe in an innate goodness of mankind.

They believe that all badness is balanced out by good, and that whenever bad things happen, that the pendulum eventually swings back the opposite way.

They believe that all bad is eventually balanced out by good.

They believe in an just world, just because, bro.

Just because, if it were any other way, it would be too scary.

I don’t.

And it appears that history overwhelmingly agrees.

Belief that the pendulum will swing back is at best a cope, and at worst, the worst kind of psyop.

It’s “trust the plan” under just another name.

Long marches have always been long, and any small step backward in their evil mission never was sufficient to turn the tide, they just recovered and kept going.

Pendulums just swing back on their own, no extra push from your side needed.

What we have here is not a pendulum, it has never just swung back on its own.

Often, this so-called-pendulum has never swung back at all, ever, and badness just overwhelmingly won.

Just-world hypothesis is a cope and a lie.

Winner will be determined through sheer might.

Don’t sit back and hope for gravity to do the work.

Pendulums that are swinging do have a universal force which restores balance

— gravity —

Which causes the pendulum to hit the person who pushed it off-balance in the first place, with no additional push needed from anyone else.

Those pushing the pendulum analogy are trying to inspire a sense of helplessness,

Trying to bring out the feminine instincts to sit back and just wait for someone else, or some force, to solve everything for us.

The pendulum is an analogy meant to neuter all resistance,

So that they may steamroll us all.

Indeed DEI is not over.

It’s only just getting started.

Fair to say it’s still illegal to go against the core tenants of DEI, in countless ways:

+ Disparate impact,
+ Griggs v. Duke Power Co.

Many others.

None of those have been overturned, and they won’t be anytime soon.

They’ve massively profited from their theft, with no substantial penalties to be had.

They’re just going to keep doing it again, worse.

Long march has only just begun.

Intelligent brains take longer to solve difficult problems

“Brains with reduced synchrony between brain areas literally “jump to conclusions” when making decisions, rather than waiting until upstream brain regions could complete the processing steps needed to solve the problem”

“Synchronization, i.e., the formation of functional networks in the brain, alters the properties of working memory and thus the ability to ‘endure’ prolonged periods without a decision

Are you able to endure prolonged periods of thinking without jumping to a conclusion?

Year of the AI Girlfriend is Almost Here

“Introducing 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐇𝐀🏄 A low-cost, open-source, mobile manipulator.”

“In this work, we develop a system for imitating mobile manipulation tasks that are bimanual and require whole-body control. We first present Mobile ALOHA, a low-cost and whole-body teleoperation system for data collection. It augments the ALOHA system with a mobile base, and a whole-body teleoperation interface. Using data collected with Mobile ALOHA, we then perform supervised behavior cloning and find that co-training with existing static ALOHA datasets boosts performance on mobile manipulation tasks. With 50 demonstrations for each task, co-training can increase success rates by up to 90%, allowing Mobile ALOHA to autonomously complete complex mobile manipulation tasks such as sauteing and serving a piece of shrimp, opening a two-door wall cabinet to store heavy cooking pots, calling and entering an elevator, and lightly rinsing a used pan using a kitchen faucet.”

It only costs $7k

“Goals:

1. Moves fast. Similar to human walking of 1.42m/s.
2. Stable. Manipulate heavy pots, a vacuum, etc.
3. Whole-body. All dofs teleoperated simultaneously.
4. Untethered. Onboard power and compute.”

“To achieve these goals, we mount ALOHA to a mobile base designed for warehouses: Tracer AGV”

“It can carry 100kg, move up to 1.6m/s, while costing only $7k”
