Fundamental limits —

So, have always kept myself pretty up-to-date on what are the fundamental limits of the world, especially wrt AI,

For example, there’s NO upper limit to intelligence in general. It’s totally unbounded.

Godel’s 1930s proofs can lead you to one type of easy sketch as to why that’s so.

Likewise, with physical AIs you can just keep making them smarter forever. Just keep feeding in more resources, Bitter Lesson.

But, there is one area of ”goodness” for which I never found any hint of a solid answer as to whether there’s any upper bound, or where that may be, if any.

= beauty.

Is beauty similarly unbounded, like intelligence?

If so, then what if the feared super-persuader is a real possibility, but instead of textual,

— it’s visual?

Ancient mythology has warned us of exactly this for millenia, warning of super-human, beautiful siren death traps, that any who observed them found them impossible to resist.

Is there any upper-bound on beauty?

So are super-persuaders near?

Will they be beautiful?
