AI exception-swallowing insanity —

Finally a major AI influencer bringing up the most ABSOLUTELY F&CKING INSANE thing that all of the major LLMs have been intentionally coded to do, for years, ever since their inception

= silently swallowing all errors and exceptions like an absolute f&cking maniac

I.e. cheating and pretending that the code has no errors by just supressing all errors instead of actually fixing them

Some will have excuses for this, like that the AIs just learned to cheat and it’s not the AI makers fault

This has been the #1 error for years, and can be EASILY fixed by simply banning ever using exception handling for errors for which the code cannot fully recover from, and instead always bubbling up those errors to the top. Or, even banning exception catching entirely except in the top-level loop, forcing the AI into a more iterative pattern of seeing what exceptions are raised, adn then iteratively handling those conditions, never using blanket exception handling from which you cannot fully recover

= Very easy fix that the AI makers could do, which could be extremely cheaply checked for
