As FBI Director Chris Wray performed his usual smarmy stonewalling in Congress Wednesday, a damning report on his $10 billion agency’s “cult of narcissism” was delivered to the House Judiciary Committee by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts.

The same group gave us the scathing DEI report last year about the FBI’s degraded recruitment standards and coddling of physically unfit, mentally ill, drug-taking or generally useless agents to satisfy diversity requirements at the expense of merit and experience.

This time they have assessed the entire bureau and drawn several worrying conclusions, including that local law enforcement partners have developed a “disturbing loss of trust in the FBI” and are therefore reluctant to share information, with alarming consequences for national security and public safety.

“Police officers and sheriff’s deputies on patrol and detectives investigating illegal activity in their jurisdictions have unparalleled visibility into street-level crime. … When this information is not immediately shared with the FBI, the FBI is left to address complex, evolving threats facing the United States with an unacceptably vast and debilitating ‘blind spot’ because [it] does not have enough personnel and resources to see into every corner of the country.”

1-Communication btwn local & fed law enforcement was fragmented and delayed
2-Federal law enforcement seemed 2respond slowly 2 the potential detonator device found on shooter VERY risky

Gift cards distributed by cybersecurity company CrowdStrike to workers who helped out during a massive outage last week were flagged as possible fraud, according to a report.

The $10 UberEats gift cards were given to workers for helping during an outage that caused 8 1/2 million devices to crash last week, according to the Guardian.

CrowdStrike said the gift cards were canceled due to “high usage” after workers tried to cash in the cards and were notified they were no longer valid.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., will introduce the "Trump Assassination Attempt Transparency Act" on Thursday, just a day after FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee about the Trump rally shooting and investigation into gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.

"We need the truth about the assassination attempt against President Trump," Hawley told Fox News Digital in a statement. "We can't let the federal government hide behind the ‘classified’ label."

The bill would require the Director of National Intelligence, the FBI and the Secretary of Homeland Security to declassify any critical information about the assassination attempt and the motive of the shooter as well as Trump's repeated requests for resources. The legislation, if passed, would also require intelligence agencies to produce a report to Congress on its findings.

A Justice Department watchdog report released on Thursday found that former Attorney General Bill Barr and former U.S. Attorney David Freed breached DOJ policy through their "unusual" handling of a criminal investigation into discarded mail-in ballots during the 2020 election.

Horowitz noted that Barr personally briefed Trump on the investigation the day before any public details were available, which he found troubling. Although he did not conclude that Barr or Freed engaged in "misconduct," he recommended a series of reforms to the DOJ.
