President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts gained new momentum this week when Rwanda signed a formal third-country agreement, part of a broader push to partner with nations willing to accept deportees whose home countries refuse to take them back or present other barriers.

Officials in Rwanda agreed to take in 250 illegal immigrants in a deal forged with the State Department Tuesday, joining nearly a half-dozen other nations that have done the same.

When the talks between Washington and Kigali began earlier this year, Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe said the idea is not new to his country, as it previously forged a similar deal with the United Kingdom that was nixed by a London court.

Illegal immigrants deported from the U.S. will be given help to get back on their feet, according to a spokesperson for Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

JUST IN: President Trump plans to name David Rosner chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, a White House official told Axios Friday.

Rosner — a Democrat named to the commission by former President Biden — is a surprise pick to lead FERC, which also has a Biden-appointed Republican, Lindsay See.

Rosner is a former aide to then-Sen. Joe Manchin who was tapped for FERC last year.

Rosner has been instrumental in helping accelerate the building of power and data centers to win the AI race," the official said.

Rosner's selection "emphasizes the president's desire to work with action-oriented people who will deliver positive results for Americans."

Ken Paxton:

🚨BREAKING: I've filed a historic lawsuit against Democrat runaways in SCOTX to secure an order declaring their seats vacant.

These cowards deliberately sabotaged the constitutional process. Their out-of-state rebellion cannot go unchecked, and the business of Texas must go on.

NOW: President Trump says, "There will be some swapping of territories." in regards to Russia-Ukraine peace talks:

"You're looking at territory that's been fought over for three and a half years.. a lot of Russians have died, a lot of Ukrainians have died. So we're looking at that, but we're actually looking to get some back and some swapping. It's complicated. It's actually not easy. It's very complicated. But we're going to get some back. We're going to get some some switched. There'll be some swapping of territories, to the betterment of both. But we'll be talking about that either later or tomorrow or whatever. "

JUST IN - Democrat Rep. Delia Ramirez, speaking in Spanish at a summit in Mexico City this weekend: "I'm a proud Guatemalan before I'm an American." @insiderpaper
FAFO💥: Rep. Carlos Gimenez, the lawmaker who fled the Castros' communist regime as a youth, put forward a resolution Friday to boot "Squad" member Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., from the Homeland Security committee for violating her oath of office.

The resolution cites Ramirez's comments in Spanish during an event in Mexico City earlier this week, in which she declared, "I am a proud Guatemalan before I am an American."

While an immigrant himself, Gimenez said that when a fellow lawmaker "openly declares allegiance to a foreign nation" over the U.S., they lose the right to be in certain positions in the federal government.

😑 A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump from refusing to fund domestic violence programs that promote diversity, equity and inclusion or transgender rights.

U.S. District Judge William Smith in Providence, Rhode Island, agreed with a coalition of 17 groups that the conditions set by the U.S. Department of Justice in May, which reflect the administration's broader agenda, were likely arbitrary and violated federal law.

"If the Court does not grant preliminary relief ... this could result in the disruption of important and, in some cases, lifesaving services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence," wrote Smith, an appointee of President George W. Bush, a Republican.

Smith blocked the Justice Department's Office on Violence Against Women from imposing the conditions pending the outcome of the lawsuit, which could take months or longer to resolve.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rejected a U.S. military “invasion” of Mexico, following President Donald Trump’s decision to direct the Pentagon to target specific drug cartels.

“The United States is not going to come to Mexico with their military,” she said during a press conference on Friday after the New York Timesreported that Trump had quietly signed a directive ordering the Pentagon to use military force against cartels that have been designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

"We cooperate, we collaborate, but there will be no invasion. It's off the table, absolutely off the table," Sheinbaum continued, adding that the Mexican government was informed of the executive order. However, she insisted, "it had nothing to do with the participation of any military or any institution on our territory. There is no risk that they will invade our country."

NEW LIES DROP🙄: Daily Mail reports a former cellmate of Ghislaine Maxwell’s heard her say she ‘had dirt on Trump.’

Comolli says it was common knowledge among inmates that Maxwell didn't aim to serve her full 20-year sentence and instead had hoped to get a pardon from then US President Joe Biden in exchange for information about Donald Trump in the lead-up to the 2024 election.

'I heard her tell another inmate that she had dirt on Trump and that it was going to get her a pardon from Biden. I guess Biden's camp just didn't want to go down that route.'

'I believe Maxwell made a deal with the devil to get that transfer out of Tallahassee,' says Comolli. Life in the Tallahassee prison is markedly different from that of Camp Bryan.

MORE ON THIS: Moscow expects that the two leaders’ next meeting after this will take place in Russia, the presidential aide said. Trump has officially been sent an invitation, he added.

The US president’s special envoy Steve Witkoff visited Moscow on Wednesday for a meeting with Putin that Trump later called “highly productive.” The US leader has increasingly expressed impatience with the pace of peace talks in the Ukraine conflict, and has threatened to impose further secondary sanctions on Russian trade partners.

According to the Kremlin, Moscow had received an “acceptable”offer from the US during Witkoff’s visit.

Russia insists that a sustainable peace deal must include Ukraine’s commitment to stay out of NATO, demilitarization, and the recognition of the new territorial reality on the ground. Kiev has rejected the terms.

NEW: US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is holding Harvard accountable for failing to meet legal obligations under the Bayh-Dole Act regarding taxpayer-funded research.

The Bayh-Dole Act is a federal law requiring universities like Harvard, which receive public grants, to disclose valuable innovations—such as new medical devices or technologies—developed with that money. These inventions should be made accessible to the public and, ideally, manufactured in the U.S., rather than hoarded for profit.

Lutnick’s Department of Commerce has sent Harvard a letter, alleging they’ve neglected these duties by not reporting inventions or prioritizing U.S. production. The letter demands a detailed list of innovations by September 8th, threatening potential funding cuts or government intervention to license the patents elsewhere. This bold move signals a push for accountability, with some praising it as a win for taxpayers, while others fear it might hinder Harvard’s research efforts.
