Eine Ära geht zu Ende: 20 Minuten macht Schluss mit gedruckter Zeitung. Die Idee ist allerdings nicht neu. Kann mich erinnern, dass das bereits vor mehr als 10 Jahren diskutiert wurde. Bedauerlich ist insbesondere der Stellenabbau.
Die grösste (Gratis-)Zeitung der Schweiz erscheint nach 26 Jahren nicht mehr in Papierform. Die Zeitung war so eine grosse Cash-Cow, dass es TX (früher Tamedia) gelang mit Abstand zum grössten Medienhaus der Schweiz zu werden. Unzählige Medien wurden aufgekauft oder vereinheitlicht. 20 Minuten hat den ohnehin stattfindenden Medienwandel in der Schweiz beschleunigt. Donald Trump and his administration employ the laws and courts wherever it suits them. Wherever laws and courts pose an obstacle to their program, they disregard those right up to the limit imposed by the current balance of power within the state.
It is clear for all to see that for them, the law is simply one of many weapons—it has no power to bind them. Yet many of Trump’s opponents continue hamstring resistance by focusing on questions of legality and other niceties, failing to grasp the reality of the situation.
