What is behind the rage in Kenya? red. media was in Nairobi during the current uprising and asked the protesters. The response was loud and unwavering: “Power to the people! Power! Power! Power!”
The rage boiled over after a popular uprising culminated in the deadly storming of the parliament building. In response, President William Ruto threatened to deploy the military against what he labeled as a “treasonous” mobilization led by Gen Z protesters.
Yesterday was the launch of the “7 Days of Rage” movement in response to a police killing at the same anti-austerity protests last week. With at least 22 protesters killed so far, the world is watching to see how Kenya will react next.
